When I started on Call of Duty WZ Pacific, I was given ownership of the remainder of the Resort concepts. worked collaboratively with the level designers and environment artists to address gameplay concerns and develop a cohesive style for the interior and exterior.
After setting the mood for the hotel area we expanded the design work outward to the surrounding areas, I proposed a few unique gameplay ideas including a mudslide that later started conversations of a volcano erupting on Caldera. I'm always extremely happy when a painting or sketch can start a conversation and move narrative forward in a meaningful way.
I provided support on the Sub Pen area and made some quick propositions to go back and forth with the level and environment teams in meetings.
